Today,

find a little quiet. 

Maybe your days 
are like mine 

sometimes…

loud. 

There are deadlines looming

and voices speaking

and sometimes…

most times…

it can all just be too loud.

Too busy.

Too much.

Too…

everything.

Maybe today,

you and I 

just need 

a little

quiet. 

Surprising things happen

when it's quiet.

When we are quiet.  

We can hear the small noises. 

The chirps and the whirs

and the small creaks and such.

The beating of your heart.

The breath that comes in,

and the breath that goes out.

And maybe in the quiet,

we can hear God more clearly. 

We can hear His voice leading us.

And perhaps, 

in the middle of the quiet, 

we can see Him better. 

We see Him move and weave and craft 

the small and the beautiful 

throughout the moments of our days.

Without the fog and haze 

of the noise,

we can hear Him and see Him

and maybe even 

feel Him

more.

And more of God 

sounds really good 
to me.

For God alone, 

O my soul, 

wait in silence, 

for my hope is from him.
