Sometimes

there are sleepy mornings.

Fuzzy days.

Foggy moments 

that you'd rather forget.

There are times that you wish you could

just fast-forward through, right?

Too bad life doesn't have a remote control.

Yeah, too bad.

And yet,

in every day,

there is beauty.

Each day

contains the handiwork 

of God.

Even in the bumpiest 

and most difficult circumstance,

God reveals a piece of who He is.

His grace.

His mercy.

His creativity.

We just need the eyes to see it.

I am preaching to myself, of course.

But maybe you can connect as well.

And so, today,

just three weeks from Thanksgiving,

let's find the beautiful 

among the difficult.

Let's stop and listen and find

the song that God is singing over us.

Let's notice the reminders that God places in our paths 

to remind us that we are 

His beloved.

There is hope in each moment.

Even in the moments that make us ache.

Let us 

be hope-seekers

today.

For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs. ~Zephaniah 3:17
