hello, friday.

Hello, Friday.

We're glad to see you.
We've loved you ever since elementary school
when we learned that you were
the key to freedom.
Two whole days filled with adventure (and no school) were waiting.
You, dear Friday, were the gatekeeper.
The same goes for now. For today.
We can smell the adventure.

And yet you hold adventures of your own, don't you?
Not a day should be wasted, right?
We don't have to wait for the weekend to journey,
it can happen-
it should happen-
today.

So God, what do you have for us today?
We want to be open to Your adventure.
We want to anticipate the turning of the page.
That next chapter that you have for us?
Yes, please

More.
We want more
 You
and adventure
and freedom
and hope.
More of You and all that You are.
Today.

Hello, Friday.
Good morning, God.

We're so glad to see You.

Do you see what this means—all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we’d better get on with it. Strip down, start running—and never quit! No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now he’s there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility he plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls!  ~Hebrews 12:1-3
Many blessings for your Friday,
Deni
